Purchase more shares of your shared ownership property

Over time you can purchase more shares in your property. This is known as Staircasing.

Criteria for this may vary with different providers, for example the time within which you can staircase from and the maximum number of times you are able to staircase. In most cases, you can own your home outright and purchase the Freehold when you staircase to 100% if your home is a house.
